10.7 Hardtop
The optional hardtop consists of a laminated -
berglass top mounted to a welded powder coated
aluminum frame that is bolted to the console. It is
equipped with a storage compartment and red and
white LED overhead lighting for the helm.
The top is designed to accommodate radio anten-
nas, radar antennas, forward and aft spreader lights
and navigation lights. It could also be equipped with
optional rod holders and/or outriggers. The spreader,
navigation and hardtop lights are controlled by
switches in the helm switch panel.
The hardtop is not designed to support the addi-
tional weight of heavy items like a life raft. Radar
and electronics antennas must be mounted to the
top between the front and rear legs in the mount-
ing areas provided. Do not mount any antennas or
equipment to the brow area forward of the front
legs. The hardtop frame is not designed to support
the weight of accessories in this area and could be
damaged.
10.8 Aftermarket Hardtop or Tower
Blackn does not recommend installing an after-
market hardtop or tower. An improperly designed
or installed fabrication can cause structural dam-
age to the deck and void the Blackn Limited War-
ranty. Additionally, Blackn will not be responsible
for any damage resulting from the installation of
a fabrication not installed at the Blackn factory.
Notice:
Refer to the Routine Maintenance section
for more information on maintaining alumi-
num fabrications and precautions for adding
additional equipment and fasteners to the
aluminum structure.
