pressure drops, the pump will turn on. The water
system is equipped with a strainer on the intake
side of the pump. The strainer should be checked
frequently and cleaned as necessary.
Whenever the boat is left unattended, the Raw
Water Pump switch should be placed in the OFF
position.
Washdown Hose Connector
The raw water washdown hose faucet is located on
the port side of the cockpit and uses a standard
garden hose connector. It is equipped with a valve
that allows the ow of water to be turned on or o.
Make sure the Raw Water Pump switch in the helm
switch panel is on before using the washdown hose
and that the washdown faucet valve or hose spray
nozzles are o when the water system is activated.
DO NOT ALLOW THE WATER PUMP TO RUN DRY. THE
PUMP WORKS ON DEMAND AND WILL NOT SHUT OFF
AUTOMATICALLY IF NO WATER IS AVAILABLE. THIS CAN
RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PUMP. ALWAYS TURN THE
RAW WATER SWITCH OFF WHEN THE RAW WATER SYSTEM
IS NOT IN USE.
8.3 Baitwell
Seawater is provided to the livewell by a 12 volt
circulation pump. This pump is designed to carry
a constant ow of water to the baitwell. The pump
does not have a pressure sensor and is activated
by the Livewell Pump switch in the helm switch
panel. There is also a light in the livewell that is
activated by the Livewell Lights switch.
Adjustable supply and overow valves in the side
of the livewell automatically control water ow and
level. Always turn the pump o when the livewell
is not in use.
To ll the baitwell, close the drain valve at the
bottom of the baitwell. Make sure the seacock at
the pump and the supply valve in the livewell are
open. Then activate the livewell pump. When the
water level reaches the overow, it will begin to
circulate. Adjust the overow and supply valves
as necessary to achieve the desired ow.
The livewell water intake is equipped with a high
speed pickup that will supply water to the livewell
if the pump should fail and helps prime the system

during normal operation. To supply water to the
livewell using the high speed pickup, make sure
the seacock valve is open and run the boat at a
speed above 15 miles per hour. Water will circulate
through the livewell and out the overow.
To drain the livewell, turn o the livewell pump
and open the drain valve. When the livewell has
completely drained, use the washdown hose to
ush the livewell and drain of debris.
