11.3 Windlass & Bow Roller (Optional)
Bow Roller
The bow roller is built into the hull and equipped
with hardware that allows the anchor to be oper-
ated and stored at the roller. The roller assembly,
anchor line and chain binder are concealed below a
hatch in the deck. The anchor line is stored in the
rope locker and routed out through the roller and
connected to the anchor chain. A chain binder is
provided to secure the anchor. Always make sure
the anchor is properly secured by the chain binder
when it is in the stored position on the roller.
The chain binder is accessed by opening the hatch
and is designed to connect to a link in the anchor
chain when the anchor is hauled in. To release the
binder, pull the anchor chain in slightly to relieve
the tension on the binder, then release the binder
from the chain. To secure the anchor in the up
and stored position, raise the anchor until it seats
