Fault diagnosis
9.1 Fault diagnosis scarifier
Prior to any repair works on the machine or its drives the
machine must be secured against unintentional switching-on.
Put the machine to its Safety off position..
Fault Possible cause Remedy
Excessive
vibration
Imbalance due to worn
or broken flailes.
Replace all broken parts
from the machine.
Unusual noise Defective bearing
Wrong tension of the
belt
Defective motor
Check the bearing of the
axle drive shaft and replace
if necessary.
Check the tension of the
belt, replace the belt if
necessary
Replace the motor
Reduced or no
scarifying
performance
Flailes have reached the
maximum permissible
wear
Inappropriate flaile for
the application
In case of internal
combustion engine,
follow the information of
the manufacturer
Replace the worn spare
Replace the flailes by
appropriate flailes for the
surface to be treated
