BCX14E Element Drip Deflector Kit: 53550
This kit will create a barrier between the boiler elements and the electrical components in the chance
that an element gasket fails.
Kit Includes:
1. Disconnect power to the oven.
2. Remove the Left Side panel. If a Manual Control oven, remove the two nuts used to hold the
thermal snap disc. See Figure 1. (MenuSelect Control ovens do not use the snap disc.)
3. If a Manual Control oven, remove the thermal snap disc from the boiler. Discard the small
bracket. The new drip pan will retain the snap disc.
4. Replace the machine screws that hold the boiler down with the low-profile machine screws
provided. Use the nuts that were on the original machine screws to bolt the boiler down (Figure
2).
