How to troubleshoot a Bosch Heat Pump with no compressor operation but running fan, possibly due to blocked return air?
    • B
      byrdsarahSep 7, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump's compressor isn't running but the fan is, it could be due to a condensate fault caused by blocked return air. Check the condensate pan for a high water level. Also, check the air filter and return air duct work for blockage, and ensure there is adequate space between the return air opening and any obstructions.

Why is my Bosch Heat Pump not shifting into cooling?

      Michael HansonAug 22, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump isn't shifting into cooling mode, check that the reversing valve solenoid is receiving 24 VAC. If it is, check the resistance of the solenoid; an open circuit may indicate a burned out solenoid. Also, check that the reversing valve thermostat wire is connected to the 'O' terminal of the thermostat and check for a contact closure between 'O' and 'R'. Finally, check that the wires from the thermostat to the unit are securely connected and that the wires from the electrical box to the reversing valve are connected.

What to do if the compressor of my Bosch Heat Pump doesn't work but the fan runs and there is a freeze fault caused by low refrigerant?
    • M
      Misty OrrSep 5, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump's compressor isn't running but the fan is, it could be due to a freeze fault in the air coil caused by low refrigerant. Check the refrigerant pressure with a gauge set.

How to troubleshoot a Bosch LV030 with no compressor operation but running fan, possibly due to a bad thermostat connection?
    • J
      Jeffrey HarrisSep 3, 2025
If the compressor of your Bosch Heat Pump is not working, but the fan is running, it might be due to a brown-out fault caused by a bad thermostat connection. Check that the thermostat wiring is of the proper gauge and length, is undamaged, and that all connections at the thermostat and heat pump are secure.

      Heather OnealSep 2, 2025
If the compressor of your Bosch Heat Pump is not working, but the fan is running, it might be due to a brown-out fault caused by an overloaded control circuit. Check the control voltage; if it's below 18V, inspect the accessories connected to the unit and ensure they don't exceed the VA draw.

How to troubleshoot a Bosch Heat Pump with no compressor operation but running fan, possibly due to a fouled water coil?
    • K
      Kimberly EllisAug 29, 2025
If your Bosch Heat Pump's compressor isn't running but the fan is, it could be due to a high-pressure fault caused by a fouled or scaled water coil. Check for proper flow rate and water temperature, especially looking for a low water side temperature rise during cooling.
