13.2. Power requirements
13.2.1. Input Voltage Requirements
The product was qualified using a fully rectified AC/DC power supply supplying 550mA @ 5V. To ensure your product
performs within the regulatory requirements, it is recommended that you use the AC/DC adapter supplied... For your
information only, the voltage range is given below. Minimum 5.0 V – Maximum 13.6 VDC NOTE: Power supplied through Pin 9
of the RS 232 connector does go through the regulator and has the same input requirements as the DC jack, +5.0 to 13.6 VDC.
13.3. Chipset
The chipset used in the BL-819/830 is the Bluecore BC02 BC212015B.
BlueCore2-External is a single chip radio and baseband IC for Bluetooth 2.4GHz systems. It is implemented in 0.18μm CMOS
technology. When used with external flash containing the CSR Bluetooth software stack, it provides a fully compliant
Bluetooth system for data and voice communications.
The Bluecore BC02 BC212015B chip has these features:
Low power 1.8V operation
Small footprint in 96-ball VFBGA and LGA packages (6x6mm 8x8mm and 10x10mm)
Fully qualified Bluetooth component
0.18μm CMOS technology
Full speed Bluetooth operation with full piconet support
Support for 8Mbit external flash
Minimum external components
