2.7 Fitting of Lever
You can customize the distance of your BFO lever, so that it ts perfectly
for the size of your hand. The handlebar should be tted when adjusting it.
Please consider that the pressure point can shift when adjusting the gripping
distance of your brake (– see adjustment of pressure point, page 26).
) Turn adjusting screw (6) 1 rotation clockwise (+) (pic. 13).
Lever moves approx. 3 mm closer to handlebar.
Adjusting screw can be turned 5 rotations max. starting from the zero
position.
2.8 Adjustment of Pressure Point
You can customize the pressure point of your BFO disk brake. The more
you use your pads and rotors the more important this gets. The BFO system
is a closed system that can not adjust itself (– see examine state of wear,
page 27). The pressure point of your BFO is equivalent to the distance
between pads and rotors.
If the pressure point feels soft and weak you need to bleed your disk
brake (– see bleeding, page 29).
) Ensure that rotors are able to run freely and without rubbing between
the pads.
) If necessary raise (+) or lower (-) pressure point until it is complying with
your personal preferences.
) A free travel of the lever of approx. 1cm until pads sit closely is
recommended (pressure point in lever can be felt easily).
) Check again if rotors run freely.
