OPTIONAL THERMOSTAT
INSTALLATION
Installinganoptionalthermostatmayhelpyoumaintainaconstanthousetemperatureautomatically.Amillivoltthermostatis
requiredforproperoperation.AfixedwallmountorBreckwell’shandheldremotecouldbeused.(Contactyourdealeror
Breckwelltopurchasearemotecontrolorformoreinformation.)
A
millivoltthermostatisrequired.
Unplugthestovefromthepoweroutlet.
Thetwothermostatwiresconnecttothethermostatterminalblockonthelowerleftsideofthebackofthecontrolpanel.
Insertthetwowiresintheterminalsideandtightenthetwoscrewstosecure
thewires.
Eitherwirecanbeinsertedintoeitherterminal.
THERMOSTATOPERATION
Afterproperlyinstallingthethermostat,movethemodeofoperationswitchonthefrontofthecontrolpanelintotheThermostat
mode.Plugthestovebackintothepoweroutlet.Youarenowreadytousethe
thermostatwithyourstove.
Thethermostatwilloperatethestoveina“High/Low”mode.Youwillstartyour
stovefollowingthestandardlightingdirectionspreviouslydiscussed.Youwill
thensetyourstovetothedesired“high”heatlevelsetting.Adjustthedamper
forthebestoperation;agoodstartingpoint
forthedamperisevenwiththeash
lip,whichisabouthalfwayout.The“high”levelcanbeanythingabovetheLow
settinguptothethirdheatlevel.

OUSHOULDNOTUSETH EFOURTHORFIFTHHEATLEVELWITHATHERMOSTAT.
Whenthethermostatiscallingforheat,theunitwillrunontheheatlevelthat
youhavethestovesetat.Whenthethermostatisnolongercallingforheat,the
stovewillautomaticallycycledowntothelowheatlevelsetting.Theunitwill
remainonthe
lowheatlevelsettinguntilthethermostatagaincallsforheat.At
thattimetheunitwillcycleuptotheheatlevelsettingthatthestoveissetto.
Keepinmindthattherewillbeathree‐minutedelaybetweeneachheatlevel
increaseastheunitgoesup
eachheatlevelsetting.
Theunitwillcontinuetofluctuatebetweenthelowheatlevelsettingandthe
highersettingthatyousetthecontrolpaneltountilyoupushtheON/OFFbutton
andturnthestoveoff.
Theunitwillfollowthenormalshutdownprocedure.
