fireplaceashcleanoutdoor,oraholedrilledthroughthebackofthe
fireplace.Therunofpipeforthecombustionairsupplyshouldbeasshort
aspossibleforthebestperformance.
Forfreestanding
installations,thiscouldbeaholeinthefloor
nearthestoverearterminatinginaventilatedcrawlspace,
oraholeinthewallbehindthestove.
Intightlyinsulatedhomes,acloseableoutsideairregistercanbeused.

ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
Thisstoveisprovidedwitha6‐footgroundedelectricalcordextendingfromtherearofthestove.Werecommendconnectingtoa
good,
HIGHQUALITYSURGEPROTECTORthatispluggedintoastandardthree‐prong,120V,60Hzelectricaloutlet.Itishighly
recommendedthatyougetasurgeprotectorratedascloseto130Voltsand10AMPSaspossible.Thecloseryoursurgeprotectoris
totheseratings,thegreatertheprotectionforyourstove.
Voltagevariationsorincorrectpolaritycanleadtoseriousperformanceproblems,especiallyrelated tothecontrolboard.The
Breckwellelectricalsystemisdesignedfor120VACwithnomorethan5%variation.Thepolarityoftheoutletshouldalsobe
checkedduringinstallation.Mosthardwarestorescarryaninexpensivepolarity
checker.Breckwellcannotacceptresponsibilityfor
poorperformanceordamageduetoinadequatevoltageorincorrectpolarity.Ifconnectedtoanolder,two‐prongoutlet,aseparate
groundwiremustberuntoaproperground(contactaqualifiedelectrician).Alwaysroutetheelectricalcordsothatitwillnotcome
incontactwithanyhotpartofthestove.
