SMOKE SMELL COMING BACK INTO THE HOME
PossibleCauses: PossibleRemedies:(Unplugstovefirstwhenpossible)
1. Thereisaleakintheventpipesystem.
Inspectallventpipeconnections.MakesuretheyaresealedwithRTVsilicone
thathasatemperatureratingon500degreeForhigher.Also,sealjointswith
UL‐181‐APfoiltape.Also,makesurethesquaretoround
adapterpieceonthe
combustionblowerhasbeenproperlysealedwiththesameRTV.
2. Thegasketonthecombustionblowerhasgonebad.
Inspectbothgasketsonthecombustionblowertomakesuretheyareingood
shape.
CONVECTION BLOWER SHUTS OFF AND COMES BACK ON

1. Theconvectionblowerisove rheatingandtripping itsinternaltemperature
shutoff.
Vacuumanydustoffofthewindingsandfanblades.Ifcleaningtheblowerdoes
nothelp,theblowermaybebad.
2. Circuitboardmalfunction.
Checkthevoltagegoingtotheconvectionblower.Ifthereispowertothe
blower,thenthecontrolboardisfine.IfthereisNOTpowerbeingsenttothe
blowerwhenitshutsoffduringoperation,thenyouhaveabadcontrolboard.
STOVE WILL NOT FEED FUEL, BUT AUGER LIGHT DOES COME ON

1. Fuseoncontrolboardblew
Removethecontrolboard.Onthebackthereisonefuse.Ifitappearstobebad,
replaceitwitha5Amp125Voltfuse.Plugthestovebackinandtrytorunit.
2. High‐Tempswitchhastrippedorisdefective
Waitforthestovetocoolforabout30‐45minutes.Itshouldnowfunction
normally.Ifnotusetheowner’smanualtolocatethehighlimitthermodisc.To
testifthethermodiscisbad,youcanbypassitasdescribed
previouslyforthe
POFthermodisc.
3. Badaugermotor
Removethefuelfromthehopperandremovetheaugershaftfromtheauger
tube.Applylinevoltagetotheaugermotor.Ifthemotorwillnotturn,the
motorisbadorthehoppersafetyswitchhasfailed(seeabove).
4. Augerjam
Visuallyconfirmthattheaugershaftisnotrotating.Ifitisnot,startbyemptying
thehopperoffuel.Thenpulltheaugershaftoutoftheaugertubefromthefront
ofthestove.Thencleartheaugertubeofallfuel.Visuallyinspectthe
auger
shaft.Makesuretheaugerflightsaresecurelyattachedtotheaugershaft.
Inspecttheshaftforbentflights,burrs,orbrokenwelds.Alsochecktheauger
tubeforthesignsofdamagesuchasburrs,roughspots,orgrovescutintothe
metalthatcouldhavecauseda
jam.Ifthepartsappearfine,reinstalltheauger
intheaugertubepertheinstructionsinthismanual.
5. Loosewireorconnector
Checkallwiresandconnectorsthatconnecttotheaugermotor,highlimit
switch,hoppersafetyswitch,andtheMolexconnector.
6. Badcontrolboard
Ifthefuseisgood,thewiresandconnectorscheckoutgood,andthehighlimit
switchdidnottrip,testforpowergoingtotheaugermotor.Ifthereisnotafull
currentgoingtotheaugermotorwhenthefuelfeed light is
on,youhaveabad
controlboard.
