ASH DISPOSAL
Ashesshouldbeplacedinametalcontainerwithatight‐
fittinglid.Theclosedcontainerorashesshouldbeplacedon
anoncombustiblesurfaceorontheground,wellawayfrom
allcombustiblematerialspendingfinaldisposal.Ifashesare
tobedisposedofbysoilburialorotherwiselocally
dispersed,
theyshouldberetainedintheclosedcontaineruntilall
cindershavethoroughlycooled.
ASH REMOVAL
Makesurethefireisoutandthefireboxiscool.
Disconnectthestirrodbyremovingthecotterpinandpushingthestirrodtotherighttodisengagefromthemotorshaft.Liftthe
stirrodupandoutoftheburnpot.Cleanandremoveanybuildup
thatmaybepresentonthestirrod.
Removetheburnpotinnersectionbygraspingitandpullingstraightup.
Emptyashesfromtheinnersurfaceoftheburnpotandscrapewithcleaningtool;makesureholesarenotplugged.
Vacuumtoremoveashesfromtheburn
chamberinteriorandtheburnpotshell.
Openandclosethedampertodislodgeanyashesthatmaybepresent.
WARNING:MAKESUREASHESARECOOLTOTHETOUCHBEFOREUSINGAVACUUM.

Disposeofashesproperly.
