ASH DISPOSAL
Ashesshouldbeplacedinametalcontainerwithatight‐
fittinglid.Theclosedcontainerorashesshouldbeplacedon
anoncombustiblesurfaceorontheground,wellawayfrom
allcombustiblematerialspendingfinaldisposal.Ifashesare
tobedisposedofbysoilburialorotherwiselocally
dispersed,
theyshouldberetainedintheclosedcontaineruntilall
cindershavethoroughlycooled.


ASH REMOVAL
Makesurethefireisoutandthefireboxiscool.

Disconnectthestirrodbyremovingthecotterpinandpushingthestirrodtotherighttodisengagefromthemotorshaft.Liftthe
stirrodupandoutoftheburnpot.Cleanandremoveanybuildup
thatmaybepresentonthestirrod.

Removetheburnpotinnersectionbygraspingitandpullingstraightup.

Emptyashesfromtheinnersurfaceoftheburnpotandscrapewithcleaningtool;makesureholesarenotplugged.

Vacuumtoremoveashesfromtheburn
chamberinteriorandtheburnpotshell.

Openandclosethedampertodislodgeanyashesthatmaybepresent.

WARNING:MAKESUREASHESARECOOLTOTHETOUCHBEFOREUSINGAVACUUM.


Disposeofashesproperly.
