Description
Returns an input laser reading in units of cm
-1
.
Query Response
A numerical value (e.g., 6455.78580). The model 871A returns 9
significant digits.
Examples
:FETC:WNUM?
:MEAS:WNUM?
:ALL?
Description
Returns the scan index, the instrument status, measurement
wavelength reading in nanometers, and a relative power reading.
Query Response
A comma separated list of 4 numeric values (e.g., 1509773, 4,
1510.01797, 0.83). These denote the scan index, instrument status,
wavelength, and relative power.
Examples

:MEAS:ALL?
CALCulate Subsystem
The CALCulate subsystem { XE “Commands:CALCulate” } is used to read and control the
instruments calculated values. The instrument continuously computes the maximum minus
minimum, and current minus start.
To retrieve CALCulate subsystem data, first choose a calculate data type and then perform a
calculate query. For example, to read maximum-minimum power, issue the following
commands:
:CALC:DELT:METH MAXM Set up to read maximum-minimum.
:CALC:DATA? POW Read the maximum-minimum power.
CALCulate Subsystem Functions
:DATA? { POWer | FREQuency | WAVelength | WNUMber }
Description
Returns a calculated value based on the based on the
:DELTa:METHod setting.
Query Response
A numerical value in fixed or scientific notation, depending on the units
(see measurement of power, above). The model 871A returns 9
significant digits for the FREQuency, WAVelength, or WNUMber
readings.
Examples
:CALC:DATA? POW
:CALC:DATA? WAV
