Lap Belt Installation
1. Remove the tether.
a. Extend the tether by
lifting on the tether
adjuster.
b. Unhook the tether
hook from the back
of the child restraint
and place it over the
seat back.
2. Recline the unoccupied
child restraint to
appropriate position
(see page 17-18).
3. Place child restraint
forward-facing on the
vehicle seat so that
the car seat base is
contacting, at, and
parallel to the vehicle
seat.
NOTE: Ensure that no
more than 7.5 cm (3 in)
of the base hangs over
the edge of the vehicle
seat (see page 12).
4. Open the ClickTight.
a. Lift the front cover
ap.
b. Squeeze the
ClickTight release
buttons.
5. Slide the lap vehicle belt
into the forward-facing
belt paths.
6. Buckle the vehicle belt.
NOTE: Ensure the vehicle
belt is not twisted.
7. Push down into the
vehicle seat bight
with moderate force
(approx. 20.4 kg/45 lbs),
compressing the vehicle
seat while tightening the
vehicle belt.
NOTE: Make sure that the
vehicle belt is locked as
directed by your vehicle
owner’s manual.
IMPORTANT: Vehicle belt MUST be locked according to
your vehicle owner's manual.
