Spark Plugs
Spark plugs inspection or replace-
ment must be done by an authorized
Lynx dealer, repair shop, or person of
your own choosing. Spark plugs in-
spection or replacement requires an
in-depth technical knowledge due to
the E-TEC direct fuel injection technol-
ogy. Though not required, it is recom-
mended that an authorized Lynx dealer
performs spark plugs inspection or re-
placement.

installed to a specific torque, refer

proper installation procedure.

Unplug spark plug cables.

1. Spark plugs
Using tools from tool kit, unscrew
spark plugs one turn.

1. 16 mm socket
2. Screwdriver rod
Clean spark plugs and cylinder heads
with pressurized air if possible.
WARNING
Always wear safety goggles when
using pressurized air.
Unscrew spark plugs completely then
remove them.
Installation
Prior to installation, make sure that
contact surfaces of cylinder head and
spark plugs are free of grime.
Using a feeler gauge, verify spark plug
gap.
Replace spark plug if not within specifi-
cations.
CAUTION Do not attempt to
adjust gap on these plugs.

Not adjustable.
0.75 +/- 0.05 mm
Screw spark plugs into cylinder head
by hand until it bottoms.
Tighten plugs using tools from tool kit
or with a torque wrench and a proper
socket.
Using Tools from Tool Kit
Use the 16 mm socket and the screw-
driver rod from the vehicle tool kit.
