5.3 Switching On the Instrument
l Reconnect the Mains cable
l Switch on the Mains switch at the rear of the instrument and lower the top
cover immediately using the "down" button on the rear panel.

Keep hands clear of the closing lid (see Figure 5-8).

WARNING — PINCHHAZARD
The closing cover presents a pinch hazard. Keep all body parts away from
the descending top cover during this operation.
l When the top cover is lowered completely, deactivate the top cover lifting
mechanism by turning the key to the horizontal position and removing it (see Figure
5-9).
The person responsible for the instrument should store the key to avoid
unauthorized access to the instrument.
