Delete Zone
Press the Menu key to enter the main menu.
Select "Zone."
Select "Delete Zone."
Use the
or navigation key to select a zone and press the
Menu key to delete the current zone.
Making a Call
Press the A/B key to switch the main channel if two channels are
displayed. In standby mode, press the [V/M] key to switch between
frequency (VFO) mode and channel (MR) mode.
Channel Mode Call: Select a channel, hold down the PTT key to
initiate a call, and speak into the microphone with a normal tone.
The red LED will be on while making a call.
Frequency Mode Call: Press the V/M key to switch to frequency
mode, input the working frequency within the allowable range, and
press and hold the PTT key to transmit. Speak into the microphone
with a normal tone. The red LED will be on while making a call.
Receiving a Call: Release the PTT key to allow active receiving. The
green LED will be on while receiving a call.
To ensure the best reception volume, keep the microphone 2.5 cm to 5
cm away from your mouth during transmission.
Emergency Alert
The Emergency Alert feature signals your group members for help. To
activate it, press and hold the SK1 key for 3 seconds. The radio will
emit a loud siren sound, and the ashlight will ash. Press the SK1 key
again to exit the emergency alert function. Press the SK1 (FM radios/
Emergency) key to exit the emergency alert function.
WARNING: Use the Emergency Alert feature only in actual emergencies.
