Trouble Shooting Chart
Problem
Possible Cause
Correction
Heating and/or cooling cycle
time is extended.
Mold cylinder not tightly held in the
thermojacket.
Back off the mold cylinder
clamp screw until a stop is
reached.
No display.
No power to the unit.
Not powered.
Connect power to unit.
Flip the power switch to the
ON position.
Display shows all dashes.
No mold cylinder installed.
Install a mold cylinder.
Mold cylinder will not fit.
Heater/Cooler not sufficiently
unclamped.
Unclamp the heater/cooler.
Turn clamp screw clockwise.
RAM sticks when lowered.
Build up of molding material flash
around lower ram.
Eject ram and clean the flash
off the lower ram.
Not able to close the mold
closure.
Build up of molding material flash
around upper ram.
Clean the flash from upper
ram and from the top of the
cylinder.
Hot mold after a full cycle.
No cooling water.
0 (zero) minutes of cooling time.
Connect the unit to a water
supply.
Change cooling time.
LCD screen does not show a
mold size or the wrong mold
size.
Mold sensor malfunction.
1. Activate the Diagnostic
Screen and press the MOLD
SENSE function to ON.
2. Scroll to the MOLD SIZE
parameter and select the
correct mold size.
LCD screen displays PRE-
HEATING for a long time and
the cycle does not complete.
The thermostat has failed.
