For braking systems with a tandem yoke, the yoke must remain parallel with the axle especially when the brakes are
fully applied (See figure 9.4.3.b). This means that the stroke of the levers on the brakes at each side must be identical.
Otherwise, the brake slack must be adjusted.
6.4.4.5 REPLACING THE BRAKE SHOES
The brake shoes should be replaced as soon as the minimum lining thickness is reached.
When replacing the brake shoes, repack the wheel bearings with grease (See section 6.4.3.6 LUBRICATING THE WHEEL
BEARINGS).
