11 Troubleshooting

• Electrical installation work must only be executed by qualified personnel.
CAUTION
During operation the surface of the machine may reach temperatures of more than
70°C.
Risk of burns!
• Let the machine cool down prior to required contact or wear heat protection gloves.
Problem Possible Cause Remedy
The blower is not running
and the blower shaft can be
turned in both directions.
The blower is not running
and the blower shaft cannot
be turned manually.
Broken V-belts • Fit new V-Belts.
Motor failure • Repair and replace the
motor.
(contact Busch).
The lobes touch the cylinder
or the end covers.
• Check the blower for
signs of overheating /
overloading and begin
necessary repairs.
• Check the lobes for signs
of corrosion and dissolve
with oil.
There are foreign bodies in
the cylinder.
• Begin necessary repairs.
