Tmer
To actvate tmer, heater must be selected and ts power level must
be greater than “0;
Select the zone to be tmed. Power level of the zone greater than 0.
Statc s dsplayed n the zone beng tmed . "0 0" n the dgts
reserved for the tmer.
3) If tmer "+" or "-" keys s mantaned pressed durng TBD tme, there s
quck settng.
1) Wth "+" or "-" keys, tmer tme can be chosen. No Beeps at tme
change.
5) Maxmum tme 99 mnutes.
6) When the tme s elapsed and the hob s beepng, press any key and
the alarm and dgt sequence wll end.
7) It s possble to adjust the tmer tme whle the tmer s prevously

2) Pressng smultaneously tmer key the tmer s cancelled (goes to 00).
4) When settng tmer tme, t s possble to go from "00" to "99" wth "-"
key, and from "99" to "00" wth "+" key.
8) Power of tmed zone can be modfed wthout consequences on the
tmer programmng.
Remanng tme s dsplayed n the dgts reserved for the tmer. If
multple zones are tmed, the smallest remanng tme s dsplayed, and
the decmal pont s dsplayed n the correspondng zone.
10) Pressng the Tmer key wthout any selected zone and when no
zone s beng tmed, does nothng.
11) Pressng the Tmer key wthout any selected zone and when many
zones are beng tmed, the tme shown n tme dgts changes n a
rotatory way, and shows the tme whose power dsplay has the decmal
pont ON.
12) Alternatvely Power (5s) and (0,5s) s dsplayed n the zone beng
tmed.
9) Last mnute wll be dsplayed by seconds (For Varants only vsble f
we enter the tmer programmng whle the last mnute of the countdown)
Resdual Heat Indcator (In radant heaters-> calculated)
Whle a temperature on the cook top glass surface s above
o
65 Cb(theory value), ths condton wll be shown n the assocated
dsplay, by means of an “H”.
The same ndcators can be used for “resdual heat” ndcaton as well.
A tme table must be defned on ths purpose: Rest Heat tme=f (power
level, workng tme).
o
To generate a temperature above 65 C a heatng element has to be n
operaton for certan tme, ths tme depends on the power level. Once
ths tme has expred, the resdual heat warnng wll be shown when
the heatng element s swtched off.
Automatc Safety Off
The maxmum tme a heater can stay on, depends on the selected
cookng level.
If the power level s not changed durng a preset tme, the
correspondng heater turns off automatcally.

adjust the power level n order to protect the hob from overheatng.

7. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
NB:
Never use a knife or a screwdriver.
Never use abrasive products or scouring powders.
. Only products, (creams and scrapers) specifically designed for
aglass ceramic surfaces should be used. They are obtainable from
hardware stores.
. It is advisable to keep away from the hob all substances which are
liable to melt, such as plastic items, sugar, or sugar-based products.
. Before carrying out any maintenance work on the hob, allow it to
cool down.
. Avoid spillages, as anything which falls on to the hob surface will
quickly burn and will make cleaning more difficult.
.MAINTENANCE:
- Place a few more drops of specialised cleaning fluid on the surface.
- Wipe with a soft cloth or dry kitchen paper until the surface is clean.
- Scrape with a scraper, holding it at an angle of 30° to the hob, until
the stains disappear.
- Wipe with a soft cloth or dry kitchen paper until the surface is clean.
The glass ceramic surface will withstand scraping from flat-bottomed
cooking vessels, however, it is always better to lift them when moving
them from one zone to another.
Do not use a sponge which is too wet.
Frequent cleaning leaves a protective layer which is essential to
prevent scratches and wear. Make sure that the surface is clean
before using the hob again. To remove marks left by water, use a few
drops of white vinegar or lemon juice. Then wipe with absorbent paper
and a few drops of specialised cleaning fluid.
A scraper with a razor blade will not damage the surface, as long
as it is kept at an angle of 30°.
- Place a few drops of the specialised cleaning product on the hob
surface.
If there are still some stubborn stains:
- Rub any stubborn stains with a soft cloth or with slightly damp
kitchen paper.
- Repeat the operation if necessary.
A FEW HINTS:
Never leave a scraper with a razor blade within the reach of
children.
. The metal surround : to safely clean the metal surround wash with
soap and water, rinse, then dry with a soft cloth.
f the cooktop s stopped for more than 10 mnutes the cooktop s
swtched off automatcally.
The stop functon wll fnsh:
f the tmer +/- keys” (together) are touched for more than ½ second a
beep sounds and the heaters actual power settng and tmer
countdowns are restored, or

Any change n the colour of the glass-ceramc surface does
not affect ts operaton or the stablty of the surface. Such
dscoloratons are mostly a result of burnt food resdues or
use of cookware made of materals such as alumnum or
copper; these stans are dffcult to remove.
8. PROBLEM SOLVING
The pan bottom should fully cover the diameter of the selected zone.
The cooking zones do not simmer or only fry gently
Unsuitable pans are being used. Only use flatbottomed utensils, that
are heavy and have a diameter at least the same
as the cooking zone.
Only use flat-bottomed pans. If light is visible between the pan and the
hob, the zone is not transmitting heat correctly.
The cooking is too slow
Small scratches or abrasions on the hob's glass surface
Incorrect cleaning or rough-bottomed pans are used; particles like
grains of sand or salt get between the hob and the bottom of the pan.
Refer to the "CLEANING" section; make sure that pan bottoms are
clean before use and only use smooth bottomed pans. Scratches can
be lessened only the cleaning is done correctly.
