Like <1> (Full Auto) mode, this is a
general-purpose shooting mode. The
camera automatically sets the shutter
speed and aperture value to suit the
subject’s brightness. This is called
Program AE.
* <d> stands for Program
* AE stands for Auto Exposure

Set the Mode Dial to <d>.

Focus the subject.
¡ Look through the viewfinder and aim
any AF point over the subject. Then
press the shutter button halfway.

Check the display.
s The shutter speed and aperture value
will be set automatically and
displayed in the viewfinder and on the
LCD panel.
¡ A correct exposure will be obtained
as long as the shutter speed and
aperture value display do not blink.

Take the picture.
¡ Compose the shot and press the
shutter button completely.
