11.3.7 Hole
The Hole tab deals with default settings for hole creation. All settings can also be configured on an individual hole-
by-hole basis through the Hole Details window (see section 14.2).
Default Hole Location: defines the coordinates which are used when a hole is automatically generated by
Carlson Boretrak. These can be changed at any time before or after a survey. You may find it convenient
to enter default station coordinates which are close to those of your mine coordinate system.
Enabled Heading Options: toggle ON or OFF the following options when carrying out an alignment:
o Known Heading: manually enter a heading value.
o Back Point: manually enter a ‘back point’. A heading is computed from the back point to the
currently selected hole collar.
o Two Point: manually enter a back point and a front location. A heading is computed from the back
point to the front location.
o Relative: Select two hole collars. A heading is computed between the two holes.
Optional Features: these features are not currently active.
o GPS Readings
o Custom Prism
o Show Line of Site
Hole Text: sets elements of the appearance of a hole collar in the 3D View.
o Show Title: labels the hole.
