STARTING PROCEDURE
BEFORE STARTING ANY WORK WHATSOEVER ON THE MACHINE IT IS
ADVISABLE TO CAREFULLY READ THE USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL, AND
IN PARTICULAR THE CHAPTERS ON COMPRESSED AIR AND DUST EXTRACTION.
1- Move the main switch to ON.
Wait until the glue pot temperature reaches the pre-set value.
In the meantime:
2- Position the edge tape or strip following the instructions in Chap. 3.2.
3- Measure the panel and adjust the height of the top pressure bar (Chap. 3.10).
4- Adjust the edge feed pressure roller units and the ush trimmers (Chap. 3.5 and 3.7) according to edge
thickness.
5- Adjustments of the optional nishing units (edge scraper, glue scraper, buffer,
front and rear sprayers) are at the discretion of the operator, depending on the
materials being used and their thickness.
6- Check that the setting of the trimming depth on the adjustable feed guide is
correct for the panel to be edged.
7- Check that the settings of corner rounding unit are correct for the panel to be
edged.
8- When the glue pot temperature has reached the operating temperature, the panel feed chain can be started
using button 6 (Fig. 3.1.1).
9- Check buttons 2, 3, 4, 8 and 9 (Fig. 3.1.1), according to the type of edging to be carried out.
10 - ensure that the edge chips and smoke extraction is in operation and that the
glue pot is not excluded.
11 - Move the panel onto the feed guide and advance it to the chain.
12 - After edging has been completed, halt the operating units with the OFF button (5, Fig. 3.1.1).
DO NOT HALT THE MACHINE OPERATING UNITS USING THE EMERGENCY
BUTTONS!! THIS MAY DAMAGE THE FREQUENCY INVERTER.
13- For work interruptions of less than 3 hours, leave the machine turned on with the

switch.
14 - In case of use of PUR glue for work interruptions greater than 3 days, empty and
clean the pot and apply the cleaner JOWAT 930.74 supplied by Casadei Industria WOOD S.r.l.
