ATTACHMENT OF BALER TO A TRACTOR-
CONSIDERATIONS
IMPORTANT: Consult your own Tractor Operator's
Manual, and this Baler manual for a full description of
operation. Or for more information consult your
authorised dealer.
IMPORTANT: The tractor and baler when attached must
meet all Road and Towing Legislation applicable to the
country where operated, as explained in this section.
The tractor must also be suitable for the application.
Inclines will require a larger tractor than flat lands,
refer to recommended tractor horsepowers to pull
your baler, refer to page 2-8.
IMPORTANT: When attaching the baler to the tractor
ensure that all the services are connected correctly and
the following criteria are met:
18. Adjust the tow hitch settings to suit the baler, refer
to 2-14.

19. Connect the baler hydraulic system to a
suitableremote valve, single or double acting,
consult your tractor's manual, for the baler refer
to page 2-21.
NOTE: When using hydraulic single acting valves Neutral
position is to hold the equipment in a desired position. Lift
position is used to raise and pressurize the equipment.
Drop position to lower the equipment. The valve lever
must stay in this position during baling, to let the pick‐up
float.
Baler couplers are provided with a coloured cap:
Green = Pick-up (single acting)
Black/Red (where fitted) = Knives (double acting)
Blue (where fitted) = Bale ejecting (double acting)

ifequipment requires an oil return line.
21. Connect the trailer socket if the baler wrapper isto
be towed on public roads, refer to page NO TAG.
22. Connect the electronic control module
whichrequires a 12 volt un-interrupted supply
(where applicable). Red wire to positive,
Black/blue wires to negative, refer to page 2-26.
23. Connect the trailer brakes hydraulic or pneumatic
(where applicable) and test them, page 2-20.
24. Connect to the Power Take Off (1000 RPM), refer
to page 2-18.
