7.2.4 Log
The Log window provides feedback from both the slicer and a connected printer to
conrm thorough slicing, display any errors, and record informaon from the printer such
as temperature, acon conrmaon, and calibraon coordinates. Through toggling of
the radio buons at the top of the Log, you can display and hide these dierent kinds of
informaon.
7.2.5 Right Control Window
The Right Control Window contains all the tools need to progress through the workow
of slicing models. Through carrying out steps from the le tab to the right tab, models
can be placed, scaled, designated print parameters, and sliced. This secon will briey
cover the funcons of each tab; however, details will be covered through the explanaon
of the workow in secon 7.2 Basic Slicing Workow.
Object Placement Add, translate, rotate, scale, and designate printheads for
models.
Slicer – Select print, printer, and material sengs, then slice models. You can
nd a shortcut to the Slic3r sengs conguraon here as well.
Print Preview – When selected, the visualizaon in the View Window will
change to the most recently generated or loaded G-Code for the
current HeartWare session. Save or run loaded G-Code, and view esmated
print stascs regarding print me, layers, and lines of code. The visualizaon
tool can provide a layer-by-layer preview of what the INKREDIBLE will print.
G-Code Editor – Displays the full set of G-code instrucons, which can
be edited and saved. By placing the cursor at a line in the code, a secon of
the visualizaon in the View Window will be highlighted yellow, indicang
the eect of that line. The same visualizaon tools in the
Print Preview are also available here.
Manual Control – If an INKREDIBLE is connected via a USB cable and the
Printer Sengs are correctly congured, many acons can be performed from
this window such as movement, needle calibraon, and temperature control
(the LCD menu must be used to assign a temperature rst).
SD Card An SD card can be inserted into a computer and then the print
carried out through a USB connecon; however, running prints directly o the
SD card inserted into the machine or from the local storage of the PC are more
direct and reliable ways of prinng.
