Low battery power warning
In the HUD, low battery is indicated by the battery light flashing yellow

On the control module, it is indicated by a white triangle on the primary screen and a
red battery segment on the secondary screen.

The battery has a finite number of charges. To avoid over-charging and premature
replacement of batteries, the battery should only be placed on charge when the low
battery warning has activated.
If the low battery warning activates during operational use, for example, while being
worn at an incident or fire, the operator can continue to keep working in BA until the
electronic low air pressure alarm operates (at 100 bar). Theoretically, when the low
battery warning activates, there are two hours of continuous power remaining. At this
point the operator must exit to the BA entry or control point.
The BA’s low battery must however be replaced with a full battery before the BA may
be reinstated.
Operators
are not
to re-enter an incident or fire with a BA that is showing
a low battery warning. The battery must be changed for a full battery
before re-use or reinstatement.
