FIG. 12: Detach headlight wiring and remove front grille.
Remove the air cleaner assembly.
Drain coolant and remove radiator hoses.
FIG. 13: Remove front axle assembly as outlined in this
chapter. Remove the lines to the steering cylinder. Cap off
lines to prevent contamination.
NOTE: It is easier to separate front frame with front axle
removed, but it is not required to remove the front
axle.
FIG. 14: Make match marks on steering shaft and
universal joint located below the left hand side of the
radiator to aid in assembly. Remove bolt from u-joint.
FIG. 15: Remove power-steering unit (1).
Remove hardware securing front frame to engine and
carefully remove frame.
