Why is there a sudden drop in gas flow on my Char-Broil 463211513 Grill?
    • D
      donovanrobertAug 16, 2025
If you experience a sudden drop in gas flow or low flame on your Char-Broil Grill, several factors could be at play. First, check if your LP cylinder is out of gas. If gas is available, the excess flow valve might have tripped; in this case, turn off the knobs, wait 30 seconds, and then attempt to light the grill. Should the flames remain low, turn off both the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the regulator, reconnect it, perform a leak test, turn the LP cylinder valve back on, wait 30 seconds, and then try lighting the grill again. Alternatively, a vapor lock might have occurred at the coupling nut/LP cylinder connection. To resolve this, turn off the knobs and the LP cylinder valve, disconnect the coupling nut from the cylinder, reconnect it, and try again.

Why no sparks on my Char-Broil 463211513 when pressing the Electronic Ignition Button?
    • A
      Anna LaneAug 19, 2025
If no sparks appear at any electrodes when the Electronic Ignition Button is pressed, and no noise can be heard from the spark module on your Char-Broil Grill, first check the battery orientation. If the battery is correctly installed, replace it with a new alkaline battery. Also, check that the button assembly is correctly installed by unscrewing the button cap assembly and reinstalling it, ensuring the threads are aligned and fully engaged. If the issue persists, the spark module may be faulty and require replacement.

Why are sparks weak on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • C
      Chelsea HamiltonAug 22, 2025
If sparks are present but not at all electrodes or not at full strength on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure that all output lead connections are securely connected at both the module and the electrodes. If possible, observe the grill in a dark location to check for arcing between the output wires and the grill frame. Additionally, a weak battery could be the cause, so replace it with a new alkaline battery. Also, check if the electrodes are wet and use a paper towel to remove any moisture. Finally, inspect the electrodes for cracks or breaks, and replace them if necessary, as sparks may be occurring at the crack.

Why won't one burner light from another on my Char-Broil 463211513 Grill?
    • E
      ejacksonAug 25, 2025
If one burner does not light from other burner(s) on your Char-Broil Grill, it is likely due to grease buildup or food particles in the end(s) of the carryover tube(s). To resolve this, clean the carry-over tube(s) with a wire brush to remove any obstructions.

How to prevent flare-ups on my Char-Broil 463211513?
    • J
      jarednealAug 28, 2025
Flare-ups on your Char-Broil Grill can occur due to grease buildup, excessive fat in the meat, or excessive cooking temperature. To address this, clean the burners and the inside of the grill/firebox to remove any accumulated grease. If you are grilling meat with a high-fat content, trim the excess fat before placing it on the grill. Finally, if the cooking temperature is too high, adjust it accordingly to a lower setting.

What to do if flames blow out on Char-Broil 463211513 Grill?
    • A
      Ashley RoseAug 30, 2025
If flames blow out on your Char-Broil Grill, it could be due to high or gusting winds, or low LP gas. To solve this, turn the front of the grill to face the wind or increase the flame height. Also, refill the LP cylinder if it's low on gas. If the excess flow valve tripped, refer to the “Sudden drop in gas flow” section.

What to do with persistent grease fire on Char-Broil Grill?
    • B
      Brian GardnerSep 2, 2025
If you experience a persistent grease fire on your Char-Broil Grill, it's likely due to grease trapped by food buildup around the burner system. To resolve this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and turn off the gas at the LP cylinder. Leave the lid in position and allow the fire to burn out. Once the grill has cooled down, remove and clean all parts to eliminate the grease and food buildup.

How to fix Flashback on Char-Broil 463211513?
    • A
      Alice SimpsonSep 5, 2025
If you experience Flashback (fire in burner tube(s)) on your Char-Broil Grill, it is likely that the burner and/or burner tubes are blocked. To resolve this, turn the knobs to the OFF position and clean the burner and/or burner tubes. Refer to the burner cleaning section of the Use and Care guide for detailed instructions.

Why doesn't the timer work on my Char-Broil Grill?
    • M
      Michael MorganSep 8, 2025
If the timer on your Char-Broil Grill does not work and the green light does not flash, it could be due to a dead battery. Replace the batteries to see if this resolves the issue. Another possible cause is that the batteries are installed incorrectly; make sure they are installed correctly. Lastly, ensure that the knob position starts the Clean Cycle by pushing the knob in (the green LED should begin to flash).

    • M
      munozkyleSep 12, 2025
