AINTENANCE

Maintenance

The CN 3960 is designed so that the cabling, optics and power supply units are hot

swappable. This means that the unit can remain powered for all these maintenance tasks.

There is no requirement to remove power from the unit before performing these types of

routine maintenance.

The following are examples of service impacting maintenance:

•

replacing the fan units

•

replacing the DC power supply when both DC power supplies are fed from the same

circuit

•

replacing the power supply in a system using only a single power supply
