The user may use their chosen FTP server. They must enter the user’s name and
password and specify the name of the directory where the data will be uploaded.
2.3.3.3.1. Parameters configuration
Some of these settings cannot be edited / modified on the CU. PhotoGetData has to
be used to modify them.
In SETTINGS\GSM\GPRS\FTP
• FTP: Enable or disable FTP automatic action [OFF; ON]: OFF.
• ADDR: Address of the FTP server. Maximum length: 32 characters. Default: ““.
• USER: Username used to login on the FTP server. Maximum length: 32
characters. Default: “anonymous“.
• PORT: Communication port used to establish the FTP session communication
with the FTP server [1; 65535]: 21.

• FTP offset: FTP start period. [00:00:00; 23:59:59]: 00:00:00.
Note: You have to enter the password for the FTP server. For security reason, the
password is not displayed in the CU and cannot be read back by the user.
2.3.3.4. HTTP / HTTPS over GPRS
The CU could upload its data automatically to an HTTP / HTTPS server. The CU
initiates the transmission, it automatically connects to Internet on the user’s HTTP or
HTTPS server and uploads the data.
Important: An HTTPS server is an HTTP server with a secured connection. It is
important to know that the CU uses two versions of electronic boards. One is
“CE1201A” and the second is “CE1701A”. The CE1201A cannot use a secured
connection so it is not compatible with HTTPS. The CE1701A is compatible with both
HTTP and HTTPS. To know the version of your CU, go to the INFO menu and read
the CPU version.
During that document, the term “HTTP(S)” is used instead of “HTTP / HTTPS”.
The photometer sends its data to only one single HTTP(S) server.
2.3.3.4.1. Cypher suite profile supported by the AU
The AU supports these Cypher suites during a secured connection:
• TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA
