Go to ROBOT in the CIMEL menu.
Look at the SAE (switch angle engagement) values for AZ and ZN.
These values should be between 70 and 90.
Note: For CU firmware equal or above V2.4.0, SAE values for both axes are
automatically stored into the CU data. Please refer to the “Photometer ASCII files
description” for detailed information.
If it is not the case, please contact CIMEL technical support.
7.3. Battery low
The possible causes that may lead to a low battery:
The solar panel is down and the battery is not reloaded.
A long period without any sun.
The connections are not plugged correctly.
Connections are rusted (marine spray).
The battery is too old or broken.
Procedure to follow:
Check if the cables are correctly plugged and the cables are not damaged.
Check if the battery has no leakage and is powerful enough.
There is an electronical shutdown of the CU when the batteries voltage falls down to
below than 10.5V.
When the CU is in shutdown, the batteries voltage must be upper than 11.5V to power
on the CU.
If this has not solved the problem, please contact Cimel technical support.
7.4. GPRS communication errors
To identify the possible cause of the GPRS communication error, there are two menus
to help the user for a diagnostic.
The menu “CIMEL\MODEM\FTP TEST” establishes a test connection between the unit
and an FTP server. The CU indicates how was finished the communication (FTP OK
or FTP ERROR).
