 Peak factor
The Peak factor is the ratio between the peak value and the RMS value of a periodic voltage 
or current. The purpose of the peak factor is to give an idea of the wave peak and it is used 
primarily for current waves.

In a perfect sinusoidal wave, the peak value is √2 times greater than the RMS value; therefore 
the peak factor is 1�41. For waves with very high peak values, the peak factor will be over 1�41
