First-Time Setup

After you have assembled the Cisco TelePresence System (CTS), you set up the individual system
components (such as displays and cameras) using Hardware Setup, located under Troubleshooting in
the CTS Administration software. This chapter explains how to initially set up CTS components and
contains the following sections:
• Loading CTS Administration Software, page 9-1
• Setting Up CTS Components, page 9-4
Note You cannot perform diagnostics during an active Cisco TelePresence system call.

Loading CTS Administration Software
CTS Administration Software is factory-installed on each codec and loads during initial bootup.
To load CTS Administration Software:
Step 1 Power on the three PDUs in that are located on the accessory cabinets and the single PDU that is
underneath the first row table (near the projector).
