The
Cisco
IP
Phone
7960
is
full-feature
telephone
that
provides
voice
communication
over
an
IP
network
The
phone
functions
much
like
traditional
analog
phone
allowing
you
to
place
and
receive
telephone
calls
The
phone
also
supports
features
such
as
call
forwarding
redialing
speed
dialing
transferring
calls
placing
conference
calls
and
accessing
voice
mail
There
are
two
versions
of
the
Cisco
IP
Phone
7960
version
that interacts
with
Cisco
CallManager
and
version
based
on
Session
Initiation
Protocol
SIP
Depending
on
the
version
that
you
are
using
certain functions
might
differ
or
not
be
supported
on
your
phone
These
differences
are
noted
in
the
documentation
using
these
icons
The
CMticon
indicates
that
the
section
or
paragraph
only
applies
to
the
versioft
of
the
phone
that
works
with
Cisco
CaliManager
If
you
are
using
the
Cisco
CallManager
version
of
the
phone
there
is
no
icon
in
the
upper
right
corner
of
the
phone
screen
The
SIP
icon
indicates that
the
section
or
paragraph
only
applies
to
the
version
of
the
phone
that
is
based
on
SIP
This
is
the
same
icon
that
appears
in
the
upper
right
corner
of
the
phone
screen
if
you
are
using
SIP
phone
When
both
the
CM
and SIP
icons
appear
the
text
applies
to
both
versions
of
the
phone
If
there
is
no
icon
displayed
for
section
assume
that

text
applies
to
both
versions
