4.4 MEWP use procedures
The following procedures shall be carefully carried out in the
correct chronologic order.
Perform leveling only with the machine at rest (jib closed,
arms returned, turret centered).
If the machine is not stabilized it is not possible to level.
4.4.1
Start of endothermic (or electrical) engine and
placement on the work position
1. Start the endothermic engine using the supplied engine ignition
key (AM Picture 9).
2. If you choose to use the electrical engine:
Connect the 220V socket P (Picture 24
)
to the nearest
electrical source.
Place the switch on ON I (Picture 24
).
Start the engine pushing the starting button;

3. The switching on is indicated by the lighting of the two
leds. The machine is ready to translate or to be stabilized.
4. Identify the area (work station area) which is nearest to
the place to reach, and reach it by the machine handling
operating the translation buttons (see translation 4.3.3);
C.M.C. binds to use the remote translation
controls in order to ensure the translation operations
in complete safety
5. Make sure the soil bears the load of the stabilizers
indicated on the same and that in the contact point of
every stabilizer plate with the ground, there are no
manholes, floors or other soft structures;
