In case such conditions are not met, it is strictly
forbidden to use the MEWP.
6. Place the MEWP on the chosen area;
7. Define the work station area with appropriate signage
(white-red ribbon, white-red chains, cones etc.).

 MEWP stabilization
8. Lift the 4 pins blocking the stabilizers position. If this operation
proves difficult, move the stabilizer trying to rotate it as to the
horizontal plane during the lifting. It is absolutely forbidden – and
unnecessary – to completely remove the pins from their seat.

9. With the pin lifted, rotate the stabilizer taking it in a position which
allows the re-insertion of the same pin. For each stabilizer, it will
be possible to choose two positions: the positions taken by the
stabilizers will allow or stop the mechanical block of the bearing
rotation and thus of all the aerial part of the spider.
