8.4.7 The UTILITY Button
Notes for the UTILITY function:
z You can use the UTILITY function to adjust the global settings of the instrument.
Press the UTILITY button for the UTILITY display, press it again to quit to the F1-F8
display.
z In the UTILITY display, you can also press the F1-F8 button or other MENU buttons
to quit.
z You can set or adjust the parts in this mode.
z All the settings made here will not be saved to the USER BANK, because those are
global settings and will be saved elsewhere.
z In the UTILITY display, auto-display for all parts is disabled.
8.4.7.1 Velocity Curve
z The first page in the UTILITY display is for velocity curve:

N o r m a l
The Velocity Curve works for both the keyboard and pads.
You can try different velocity curves to find your favorite one.
Refer to the appendix <Velocity curve list>.
In the VX Brain software you can adjust more details for the velocity curve.
Please refer to the VX Brain help.
8.4.7.2 After Touch
z Page 2 is for aftertouch
A f t e r t o u c h 2
N o r m a l
Press and hold a key then change the pressure to send aftertouch data.
You can try different aftertouch types to find your favorite one.
Refer to the appendix <Aftertouch list>.
If aftertouch is set to Off, the aftertouch function is disabled.
