•Do not soak it..
•Avoid any abrasive products or with chemical solvents.
It is advised to use a liquid detergent.
•The Manufacturer declines all liability for damage to
the textile unit due to the use of any fabric conditioner,
as this causes a rapid deterioration of the textile
electrodes, totally impairing the sensoring function.
•Do not bleach the textile unit and do not submerge
it in irritating disinfectants (in case this is absolutely
necessary, avoid contact of these substances with the
textile sensors).
•The textile unit can be lightly spun.
•The textile unit cannot be put in a tumble-dryer: this
causes a rapid deterioration of the textile electrodes,
totally impairing the sensoring function.
•Because of the particular weave, the textile unit does
not need to be ironed; in any case, always avoid a
direct contact of the iron with the textile sensors.
These instructions are reproduced on the garment
label.
The textile sensors are the most “sensitive” part of the
textile unit, therefore the most delicate:
•Always keep them inside the textile unit; when drying
do not expose to direct sunlight (it is sucient to dry the
garment without overturning it).
•Do not put the iron over the sensors.
•Do not twist them when wringing by hand.
If you follow the maintenance instructions listed above,
your textile unit will maintain its functions unaltered
and will maintain its sensitive capabilities even after
repeated washing (up to 30 washings).
For hygiene reasons, the product is to be considered
personal. In any case, after about 6 months of use, we
suggest to purchase new textile units.
The textile unit is a normal textile product which can be
disposed of according to the standard procedures set
for this type of product.
However, the electronic unit of the HOWDY BABY
needs to be disposed of according to the RAEE
Directive guidelines, therefore once discarded, the
device should be disposed of through a separate refuse
collection and delivered to an “ecological island” set up
by the responsible municipality or by the equipment
distributer, even when purchasing a new one.
With the “RAEE Directive” Italy approved the European
Directive 2012/19/EU about the use of particular
hazardous substances in Electric and Electronic
Equipment and about managing their disposal.
To protect the environment, and send these products
(RAEE) to the adequate waste centre, it’s required a
dierentiated collection of this type of equipments.
At present, all citizens can send their own waste to
ecological islands; since 18th June 2010, it is possible
to return the waste directly to the seller free of charge,
when purchasing a similar equipment. This procedure
is regulated by the decree D.M.65 of 8th March 2010.
The distributors (individuals who sell new products
to end users) are obliged to withdraw the equipment
to be discarded at the moment of purchase of a new,
equivalent equipment. Illegal disposal of the above-
mentioned products shall be subject to administrative
