6. Expanding the CDTV/P
The CDTV /P's design allows for the easy addition of optional
devices to expand its capabilities. Among the already available
options are:
• Trackball Controller - Can be used as either a remote
control device, or can be connected to your CDTV IP using
the supplied cable. Also allows you to use two joysticks.
• CDTV Genlock Module - Allows you to mix external
video signals with images from your CDTV.
• SCART Video Module - Allows you to connect your
CDTV /P to a TV set with a SCART connector.
• Memory Cards- Can be inserted in the "credit card" slot
in the front of the CDTV /P to provide additional memory
for expanded capabilities.
• Musical instrument keyboard !MIDI) - Allows you to
play and even create music using a MIDI musical
keyboard.
• Printer - Allows you to create hard copy from a CDTV IP
or computer program.
• Modem - Allows communication with other devices
worldwide.
As is the case with CDTV/P software, new items will
continually become available, so you will want to check with
your dealer on a regular basis to see what's new in the CDTV/P
hardware world.
