Just inside the top of the ball opening there are three small
plastic rollers.
To
clean these, use isopropyl (not rubbing)
alcohol or tape recording head cleaning fluid, and gently clean
the
surface
of
each roller.
To
remove any dirt or dust from the
ball area, gently blow into the opening.
Wipe
off
the ball with a
soft dust free cloth. Replace the ball inside the mouse and set
the
retaining cover back into place
with
the arrow pointing to
the
"0"
or open position. Now use your thumbs to rotate the
arrow cover clockwise so that the arrow on the cover points to
the "C" or closed position.
