Installation of each of these options uses the same procedure. It is
necessary to remove the system board to remove either of these options. To
remove and replace an option card, complete the following steps:
1. Complete the steps in Section 5.3 to prepare the computer for
disassembly.
2. Complete the steps in Unit Cover Removal and Replacement in Section 5.4
to gain access to the option card.
3. Disconnect any cables connected to the option card.
NOTE: It might be necessary to remove expansion card(s) to have
sufficient access for cable removal. If removing a full length
option card from a CDS model, the speaker will have to be removed
from the front panel of the chassis to provide adequate
clearance. See Section 5.9.
4. Remove the system board (Section 5.12).
5. Remove the screw securing the expansion card bracket to the rear of the
computer (Figure 5-42) and slide the option card out of its connector
on the backplane board.
