TROUBLESHOOTING:
General
Problem
Solution
The band saw won’t start when The machine is not plugged in; plug
switched on. in the machine to the power outlet.
Check your fuses and circuit breaker.
Check the power cord for any damage.
The band saw and stand are If the floor is uneven, move the
vibrating too much. machine to a flat floor surface.
Make sure the saw unit is tightly
mounted to the stand.
Check the tension on the drive belt.
The stock does not slide easily on The table is dirty or sticky; clean it
the table. mineral spirits or varsol.
Remove the table insert and clean
underneath to remove any debris that
may cause the insert to impede the
movement of your stock.
The stock is cut at a different angle The scale is out of alignment. Adjust
from the degree indicated on the scale. the bolt in the table bracket to square
the table to the blade at a
90-degree angle. Readjust the scale
back to zero.
The belts are slipping on the pulleys. Check the belt tension and adjust as
necessary.
