Adjusting the Seat
Toadjustthepositionof the seat,pullup andholdthe seatadjustment
lever.Slidetheseatforwardor rearwardtothe desiredposition;then
releasetheadjustmentlever.Makesureseatislockedintopositionin
a seat-stopbeforeoperatingthe tractor.See Figure5.
Beforeoperatingthetractor,makesuretheseatisengagedina
seat-stop.Engagetheparkingbrake.Standbehindthemachineand
pullbackon seatuntilitclicksintoplace.

Thefueltankislocatedunderthehoodandhasa capacityof three
and-a-halfgallons.Removethefuelcap by turningitcounterclockwise.
Useonlyclean,fresh(no morethan30daysold), unleadedgasoline.
Donotoverfillthe tank.
Useextremecarewhenhandlinggasoline.Gasolineis extremely
flammableandthe vaporsareexplosive.Neverfuel the machine
indoorsor whiletheengineis hot or running.Extinguishcigarettes,
cigars,pipesandothersourcesof ignition.
NOTE:Yourtractorisshippedwithoil in theengine.However,you
MUSTchecktheoil levelbeforeoperating.SeeCheckingtheEngine
Oilin the ServiceandMaintenancesectionof this manual.
