Toproperlysharpenthecuttingblades,removeequalamounts
ofmetalfrombothendsof the bladesalongthe cuttingedges,
paralleltothetrailingedge,at a 250.to 300angle.Alwaysgrind
eachcuttingbladeedgeequallyto maintainproperbladebalance.

Neverjump starta damagedor frozenbattery.Becertainthevehicles
do nottouchandignitionsareoff. Donotallowcableclampsto touch.
Ifthe cuttingedgeof thebladehas previouslybeensharpened,orif
anymetalseparationis present,replacethebladeswithnewones.
A poorlybalancedbladewillcauseexcessivevibration,maycause
damage to the tractor and/or result inpersonal injury.

BATTERY
Batteryposts,terminals,andrelatedaccessoriescontainleadand
leadcompounds,chemicalsknownto the Stateof Californiatocause
cancerandreproductiveharm.Washhandsafterhandling.
If removingthe battery,disconnecttheNEGATIVE(Black)wire |
from itsterminalfirst,followedbythe POSITIVE(Red)wire.When

reinstallingthebattery,alwaysconnectthe POSITIVE(Red)wire to it
terminalfirst,followedbythe NEGATIVE(Black)wire.
1. Connectpositive(+) cableto positive(+) postof yourtractor's
dischargedbattery.
2. Connectthe otherendof thecableto thepositive(+) postof the
jumperbattery.
3. Connectthe negative(-) cable to the negative(-) postof the
jumperbattery.
4. Makethefinal connectionon theengineblockof thetractor,away
fromthe battery.Attachto an unpaintedpart to assurea good
connection.
Ifthejumperbatteryis installedona vehicle(i.e.car,truck),do NOT
startthe vehicle'senginewhenjump startingyourtractor.
5. Startthe tractor(as instructedin theOperationsectionofthis
manual).
6. Setthe tractor'sparkingbrakebeforeremovingthejumpercables.
Removecablesinreverseorderof connection.
Charging
Batteriesgiveoff an explosivegas whilecharging.Chargethe battery[
in a wellventilatedareaandkeepawayfroman openflameorpilot [
lightason a waterheater,spaceheater,furnace,clothesdryeror [
othergasappliances. J
Whenchargingyourtractor'sbattery,use onlya chargerdesignedfor

priorto chargingyourtractor'sbattery.Alwaysfollowitsinstructions
andheeditswarnings.
Ifyourtractorhas notbeenput intousefor anextendedperiodof time,
chargethebatteryasfollows:
1. Setyourbatterychargerto delivera maxof 10amperes.
2. Ifyourbatterychargeris automatic,chargethe batteryuntilthe
chargerindicatesthatchargingiscomplete.If thechargerisnot
automatic,chargefornofewerthaneighthours.
TIRES
Neverexceedthe maximuminflationpressureshownon thesidewall
ofthe tire.
Referto thetire sidewallfor exacttire manufacturer'srecommendedor
maximumpsi.Do notoverinflate.
Uneventire pressurecouldcausethecuttingdecktomowunevenly.
