Why does my Creation PCUT cutter zigzag?
- JJohn WatkinsAug 20, 2025
Zigzagging of the cutter can be resolved by ensuring the speed does not exceed 40. Also, set the speed to specific size of characters.

Why does my Creation PCUT lock up during output?
Lock-ups during plotting output can occur if the exterior 220V input voltage is too low (150V), causing the plotter to restart. Also, high disturbances in the exterior 220V input voltage can cause this issue. To resolve this, use a purified regulated power source.
Why does the paper deviate when using my Creation Plotter?
Paper deviation during large margin runs can be caused by several factors. Ensure the paper feed bracket containing the paper roll is completely parallel to the paperweight wheel. Loosen the paperweight wheel before graving to prevent excessive obstruction when plotting or graving. Use the two paperweight wheels at the sides instead of pressing all four down simultaneously.
Why won't my Creation PCUT run when outputting?
If the plotter doesn't run during output, check the following: ensure the plotter is properly connected to the computer, verify that the plotter is in the online state, and confirm that the software's encryption card is properly inserted.
Why is my Creation PCUT job not smooth with sharp angles?
If your plotting job feels not smooth and has sharp-angle issues, it could be due to the protruding length of the knife top being too long; adjust it as required. Alternatively, the knife may be worn out, in which case you should replace it.
Why is my Creation PCUT Plotter out of control sometimes?
If the plotter is out of control, the signal line is improperly connected. To resolve this, open the machine and properly plug in all the lines.
Why are some nicks deep and some shallow when cutting with my Creation PCUT?
Inconsistent nick depths (some deep, some shallow) when cutting can occur if prolonged use has created a trace. Replace the stripe cushion to resolve this. You can also adjust the knife and increase knife press (to about 120-150).
Why can't some characters close in strokes when plotting with my Creation Plotter?
If some characters don't close in strokes during plotting, it's because the knife of the plotter is an eccentric knife with an eccentric value. To resolve this, set “closing compensation” in the software.
Why is my Creation PCUT in a low-speed state after start-up?
If the machine is in a low-speed state after start-up, it may be because the paper sensor fails to detect the fore end of the paper. When feeding paper, make sure the fore end of the paper covers the hole of the paper sensor, then perform another automatic paper testing.
What to do if my Creation PCUT is missing some parts of letters when cutting?
If the machine has missed some pave of letter when cutting: - Check the machine if it presses enough. - Reinstall the software. - Chook the head of the knife.
