used oll properly. Contact your local author.
for approved disposal methods or pos-
sible recycling.
Oil Filter Change
* Changethe oilfilterevery200 houmofoperaUon.
Hot engine oll can cause severe bums.
Allow engine temperature to drop _rom hot to
warm level before attempting to remove oil
filter.
* Drainengine oil intoa suitable container.
CAUTION
Before removing the oil filter, place suitable
pan under filter connection.
• Rotatethe oilfilter(A) counterck_:Jw_4sete remove
it.
• Coate filmof cleanengineoil onseal of newfilter.
• Installnewtilter rotatingitclockwise until seal con.
tacts mountingsurface (B). Then rotateliter 3/4
turnmore by hand.
• Supplyengineoil as specified.
• Run theenginefor about3 minutes,stopengine,
and check oilleakage aroundthe tilt_.
• Add o]1to compensatefor oil leveldrop due to oil
fillercapacity(see PREPARATION chapterforoil
level check section).
