5. 12-PIN TRAILER PLUG
The C16 uses a 12-pin plug to connect to the tow vehicle. You will need to ensure the tow
vehicle has the appropriate 12 pin socket connection as below.

The C16 comes with an AL-KO Tow Assist system which works in collaboration with an
approved in-vehicle Electric Trailer Brake Controller to improve the safety and stability of
trailer braking. It comes with built-in mileage tracking accessible via Bluetooth app.
Bluetooth Communication Adapter
The Tow Assist portion of the phone app requires the support of the supplied Bluetooth
communication adapter to communicate with the Tow Assist System. The Bluetooth adapter
comes pre installed in your system located in the OBD2 connector. Remove the adapter when
not in use to protect from environmental extremes. Please note that the app is only intended
to read information from the Tow Assist ECU only.
