NOTE: Make sure to test the system regularly to make sure it is working correctly. Disconnect
the trailer plug from the tow vehicle, check fuses, and pull the break-away pin from the break-
away switch attached at the A-frame (near where the trailer connects to the tow vehicle). The
electric brakes and brake lights of the RV should activate.
Do not use the break-away system as a parking brake. The battery will be flat after a brief time
and release the brakes. Incorrect use will void all warranty.
The battery should be replaced every 2 years with the same type 12V 5AH SLA battery. The
Camec replacement battery part number is: 041767.
