Accessing the CLI through the Console Port
You can enter Cisco IOS commands and parameters through the CLI, by using one of the console
connections. Note: if both the USB and RS-232 are connected, the USB takes precedence.

Software Terminal Emulator and Serial Console Setup
Prior to communicating with the DuraNET 3300, software installation and setup must be performed to
ensure proper communication. The installation instructions will be tailored for both Windows 10 and Linux
operating systems for multi-user preference and experience.
See appendix A for the install of required software
Linux:
Open a terminal window. If this is the first time opening a terminal window you will need
to set the baud rate for the console port. If this is not the first time you can simply enter
sudo minicom
From the terminal window prompt enter the following command
~$ sudo minicom s
password for parvus: parvus “if asked for a password

Use the up and down arrow keys to select “Serial port setup” in the [configuration] menu
